We couldn't stand to wait another second for pizza.  As you can see we couldn't even wait for a photograph before digging in.  It was wonderful and of course Chris had to have beer.  He must have been desperate because when the beer arrived he exclaimed "isn't that the most beautiful sight you've ever seen"?  I don't know why initally I thought he was talking about me...guess the honeymoon is over! :-)

Today was all about walking and finding hidden treasures...off the tourist path.  On the way to several churches we passed through several shopping districts.  The Channel bag was used and in a vintage clothing store...3,200 EURO.  Blows my mind!  We also passed the most delux LEGO store and this Cathedral of Milan was built entirely out of lego's including the stained glass windows...now thats COOL.

First let me apologize for the amount of photo's today...its very difficult in these churches to see and relay all the detail.  This first church is Santa Maria degli Angeli...a baroque style church built in mid 16th century.  They gate off the side chapels to prevent vandalism that cannot be monitored by security camera's.  The ceiling fresco's were truly beautiful and my camera just could not do them justice.  These smaller churches are quiet, beautiful and often overlooked by tourists...my kind of place.

The above photo is of Chris just past the sculture of Moses (who he says looks a lot like Charlton Heston) with horns.  Chris was telling me that the horns were because of a mistranslation which over time just became a part of history.  On the way to the next church we stopped for some lively and fun street entertainment.  Puppet shows, singing and playing musical instruments are very common in public area's to earn money.

This church is Basilica of San Carlo al Corso.  Interestingly enough this church is set inside of a very popular shopping district with Levi store on one side, 5 Guys burgers, and Foot Locker on the other...along with many other stores.  This Basilica had some very beautiful sculptures yet not as ornate.
