Please let me apologize for leaving the blog unfinished yesterday.  We've had several very long days in a row.   Sometimes at the end of long days, I am too tired to think (or write clearly).

Today we visited the Isle of Capri.  After a typical Italian breakfast, we took the hyrdofoil ferry to Capri.  It was a beautiful day (we couldn't have special ordered a more perfect weather day).  The ferry ride was very smooth and took about 20 minutes to reach the island.

The island has 2 major towns- Capri and Anacapri.  After arriving at the docks, we grabbed a cab (yes it is a fancy convertible, but all of them are).  Our driver was nice enough to put the cloth top down for the ride up the mountain to Anacapri.

There is a "tourist loop" that includes the church with the adam and eve hand painted tile floor, many shops and quaint little squares with benches of hand painted tiles, or benches wrapped around olive trees.  Anacapri is a very charming little town.

I call this little 3 wheeler, a grammy mobile.  They are very common in Italy.  I want one in purple

Back at the dock, we waited for a Capri boat tour scheduled for noon.  1/2 hour later it finally arrived and as 2 of our companions for the trip said "good things come to those who wait" as we were the only 4 passengers aboard this huge boat.  Other boaters must have thought we were rich (and stupid) for renting that big boat just for 4, haha.  Nope, just patient and lucky.

We saw the entrance to the blue grotto, green grotto, many hillside caves and just spectacular scenery.

Returning to the docks once more, we rode the funicular up to the town of Capri for some wonderful views and a nice lunch.  All in all a very nice day.
