Chris & Kelly's Travel Adventures

We left Bologna behind today to head to Florence, but as gift to ourselves we got up early and headed into the old market for one last look around.  People here still buy only local, if its not in season- its not available.  There is no such thing as one stop shopping and usually its only for a day or two at most.  The locals and the market keepers know each other by name and what they like to order.  It has a wonderful old time feel to it.

I took Chris to see the fish market, vegetable and fruit market, pasta shop, salumeria (deli) and bakery

We haven't been in Florence but a few hours, but this is our 1st look at Santa Maria del Fiore.  I took this picture from our front door and almost had to look straight up to do it.  Tomorrow is a exciting day for us.  The morning is the Accademia Museum and the afternoon the Uffizi Museum.
