Under the Tuscan Sun. Today was a perfect September day, mid 80's, no wind, bright blue sky. What Chris likes to call his perfect day. We rested, laughed and planned future adventures.
Today we scheduled two winery tours in the next week, 1 local and 1 that visits wineries in Montalcino and Montepulciano (home of the Brunello and Chianti wines). We also loosely scheduled day trips to Siena, Assisi and possibly Padova.
Late in the afternoon we took a wonderful swim (after the local frog had been removed) and had a truly horrendous meal of taco's! Tip: when in Italy, stick to Italian food...even the less wonderful tourist kind. While grocery shopping we found "Old El Paso" taco kit...my though was "how bad could it be"? The seasoning tasted like spicy cinnamon and the salsa was a sweet tomato sauce, this = 👎 taco's. (this was the laughing part)
Overall, the day was slow, sweet and relaxing...the kind you remember forever.
