Today is our last day in Florence, so we made it a good one!  The lead photo is of Donatello's David 1440's (the 1st full nude sculpture since Roman times, an important turning point of humanism in the arts).  This bronze is located in Florence at the Bargello museum.  We were pleasantly surprised to find so much more, from ancient coins, watches, game boards made from ivory, lecturns with intricate inlays, dishes and an incredibly intricate fan (Sorry Sarah, they wouldn't let me have this one). :)

Below is Mercato Centrale, a huge market.  Florentine steaks, cheese counters that seemed to go for a block, colorful pasta's and flavored salts.  This was a feast for the eyes.
